H1N1 Virus (Swine Flu) Facts and Information
Mercy Pledges to Keep You Informed

Anthony Yanni, MD

As our region's medical leader, Mercy Hospital pledges to keep our community informed of the latest developments regarding the H1N1 virus (swine flu).

H1N1 is an evolving public health challenge. However, it is not a call to alarm, but rather to commonsense, vigilence and good citizenship.

On this page are links to information about H1N1 and how to help safeguard the health of yourself and those closest to you. We will continue to monitor and post any changes in information as the season progresses.

Note: This information is based upon CDC recommendations. They state that much of the information is based on studies and past experience with seasonal (human) influenza. CDC believes the information applies to novel H1N1 (swine flu) viruses as well, but studies on this virus are ongoing. This document will be updated as new information becomes available.
